What is your legal name and age?
Lasruick Edmead, age 23.
What is your stage name and how did you come up with it?
Ferrari Rick and I came up with my stage name from my very first project I made when I was 15.
Where are you from?
I’m from Tampa Florida.
Where are you now?
California.
Why did you first start making music?
I started making music during the MySpace days that’s when I thought it was cool to make music because at that time everybody was having fun with it.
Who would you say inspired you the most, as an artist?
I inspired myself of course but I’m really inspired by rapper future and his work ethic.
Talk me through your creative process.
My creative process is very layer back I don’t really hard on think on how I make music it just flows naturally now because I’ve been doing it for so long it’s not hard to come up with hooks and verses now I can make a whole tape in 1-2 days max and I also can record 6 songs in a 2 hour session if whoever I work with moves fast.
Do you remember the first rhyme you wrote?
Nah I had so so many I probably wrote over 1000 songs.
Where and how do you work best?
I work best anywhere I can make a song anywhere but I do it best when I’m alone at home.
Have you heard the theory that some musicians write their best music while they’re depressed or going through a bad time?
Yeah I say with my music I write my music with emotions if I drop a hype song it’s probably cuz I’m happy that day or if I drop a sad song it’s most likely I had clutter thoughts I wanted to get off my chest.
