Usher’s Son Reaches Out to PinkPantheress via Phone

Usher’s 15-year-old son Naviyd Ely Raymond stole his father’s phone to message PinkPantheress, one of his favorite artists. Usher revealed the incident on his Instagram Stories, explaining that he discovered Naviyd had sent a message to PinkPantheress, whose profile picture resembled a “Powerpuff Girl.”[1]

Naviyd’s message read, “Hello this Usher’s son Naviyd I’m you true biggest fan please follow me back ๐Ÿ˜ž๐Ÿ˜ž๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป @naviyd.” He added, “I put him on to masterpieces ๐Ÿซก.” PinkPantheress graciously responded, “Don’t apologise! happy to have this interaction,” and invited them to her next show.

Initially, Usher intended to teach his son a lesson, but eventually relented, recognizing Naviyd’s passion for the artist’s work.[1] Usher shared another image of Naviyd’s interaction with PinkPantheress, including a FaceTime conversation between the singer and his son.

Usher acknowledged his son’s tenacity and creativity, remarking, “From a text, to a concert, to the artist. He masterminded this whole thing and made it happen.” Despite the violation of trust, Usher saw it as a “great moment for Naviyd” and a lesson learned for himself as a parent.
