NLE Choppa Expresses Love and Acceptance for LGBTQ Community

NLE Choppa, the Memphis-born rapper known for his hit single “Shotta Flow,” expressed gratitude to the LGBTQ community for their support of his latest track, “SLUT ME OUT 2,” via a tweet on Saturday, April 13. He emphasized that he appreciates all his fans, regardless of their orientation, and that he doesn’t discriminate. When a user accused him of being gay, Choppa responded by clarifying that expressing gratitude has nothing to do with one’s sexuality. He also explained that the term “badussy” is a Memphis slang term referring to the smell of intercourse between a man and a woman.

Earlier in the year, NLE Choppa responded to Blueface’s diss on Jaidyn Alexis’ “Barbie (Remix)” by challenging him to a fight. Choppa took to social media to address the situation, stating that he had previously contacted Blueface privately to resolve the issue. However, after Blueface mentioned him in the song, Choppa felt compelled to respond publicly.

NLE Choppa’s music video for “Shotta Flow 5,” directed by Cole Bennett of Lyrical Lemonade, was released on June 19, 2020. The comedic visual features the 17-year-old rapper experiencing a chaotic morning at home, complete with toy soldiers, fruit, and a kitchen mess. The video has garnered over 16 million views on YouTube.

Lil Uzi Vert, the Philadelphia-born rapper, has expressed a desire to remove all of his tattoos and adopt a more corporate image. In an interview with Ryan Leuteritz for LA Weekly, Uzi stated that he no longer has a favorite tattoo and is trying to get them all removed. This decision marks a significant departure from the reasons Uzi initially got tattoos, which were often personal and meaningful. Uzi’s desire to go “corporate” comes after expressing a wish to live a normal life and retire from music. It remains unclear whether Uzi is joking or serious about his intentions, but he has shared a selfie with heavy makeup covering his facial ink on Instagram, giving fans a glimpse of what he might look like without his signature tattoos.
