Power Book IV: Force Season 2 Episode 9 SPOILERLESS Review

It’s the penultimate episode in this season of Power Book IV: Force and the stakes are being raised to nose-bleed height. A few bodies hit the floor in this one, to be followed by even more in Episode 10 no doubt. Besides the fatalities, loyalties were put to the test, bringing even more pressing questions to bear that will be answered in the season finale.

Diamond made his presence felt in this episode, the aftermath of Leon’s murder still weighing heavily on him. The “old Diamond” has returned, applying even more violence to those in his way. The walls could very well be closing in on him with the murder of his parole officer and the crimes he commits in this installment.

As mentioned in previous episode reviews, Vic’s place among the living is getting more and more shaky by the minute. The feds keep pushing him to help put Tommy away and suspicions about his loyalty to his criminal acquaintances continue to grow. When the music finally stops on Vic, he’s not going to be looking for a chair to sit on – he’s more likely going to put inside a pine box.

Tommy’s feelings for Miraya have gotten deeper and deeper every time he’s with her – could Mr. Egan be getting set up for a broken heart again? If anything seems crystal-clear from the many story arcs from the Power universe, it’s the notion that falling in love is a really, really bad idea. If Tommy and Miraya somehow make it to the end of Season 10 alive and happy, that would be the outlier of outliers.

Viewers will not have long to wait to have all their burning Power questions answered – Episode 10 premieres November 10 on the STARZ network.

Michael Kuty

When not spending time with his wife and two boys, Michael is either writing, reading, or cooking badly. After college, he moved to New York City to break into acting, then back to Virginia to attend professional wrestling school until a couple close calls in the ring sidelined those dreams. That’s when the writing bug bit and bit hard.
