Rick Ross And Meek Mill Reveal The Release Date Of Their Joint Album ‘Too Good To Be True

Rick Ross and Meek Mill are ready to drop their highly anticipated collaborative album, Too Good To Be True, on November 10. The rap duo announced the news on Instagram with a cinematic trailer that features DJ Khaled, Diddy, and Taylor Swift.

The trailer opens with a shot of various studio equipment and then cuts to DJ Khaled, who praises both Rozay and Meek for their chemistry and talent. “This is history in the making. This is legendary. This is iconic. This is Too Good To Be True,” he says.

Next, the trailer shows a glimpse of New York City’s Times Square, where Meek narrates the background story of the project. “N-ggas ain’t seen me or Ross around each other for a long time. We got back to the business, straight back to the family, love, and jumped right back in the studio immediately. So, y’all about to get that live and direct and what happens. Tune in,” he says.

The trailer then switches to Diddy, who expresses his excitement after hearing “Shaq & Kobe,” the lead single from Too Good To Be True. “That’s when I heard you came and played me the joints,” Puff says. “And then when I saw the video, I was like, ‘Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about!’ Even Meek, I was like, ‘Yeah, that n-gga’s bucket [hat] hittin’ just right.’ I’m like, ‘This is refreshing.’ You know what I’m saying?”

The trailer ends with a surprise appearance from Taylor Swift, who introduces Ice Spice as the host of Saturday Night Live. Ice Spice is the rising star who is featured on the second single from Too Good To Be True, titled “Ice Cream.” Swift says she is a fan of both Rick Ross and Meek Mill and can’t wait to hear their album.

Too Good To Be True will be distributed by gamma., the innovative music company launched by former Apple Music executive Larry Jackson earlier this year. The album marks the first full-length collaboration between Rick Ross and Meek Mill, who have been working together since 2011 under Maybach Music Group.

The album also showcases their growth as artists and businessmen, as they have both ditched the major label system in favor of the independent route. In a recent interview with Apple Music’s Ebro Darden, they revealed that they recorded the album in about two and a half months and that it was inspired by real energy and organic motivation.

Rick Ross also said that the album title reflects their mindset of playing with the house’s money and being grateful for their success. “We won already. We playing with what? The house’s money and it’s only one way to explain that or describe that. It’s too good to be true,” he said.

Fans can expect to hear more collaborations from Too Good To Be True in the coming weeks, as Rick Ross and Meek Mill are set to release more singles and videos before the album drops on November 10.
