Tea Sea has released his latest single ‘The River’, with the emo rapper hitting new strides as he approaches one million Spotify streams. The Virginia Beach based artist has managed to build momentum with his determination and hunger for success being a crucial part of his music, all while tapping into inspiration from the staples of the genre such as Juice WRLD and XXXTENTACION.
‘The River’ shows Tea Sea being unapologetically himself. Whilst this has been the basis of his success so far, this track takes it to another level. In its purest essence it is a flip of the finger to the haters, and a powerful one at that. Atop an almost dystopian melody produced by placerbeatz and marni boy, his vocal performance leaves nothing on the table. Tea Sea pours himself equally into his vocals and lyrics and this is what connects him to his audience.
As the title suggests, ‘The River’ is about a journey of growth, an ever constant which we are intrinsically tied to. The depth in Tea Sea’s lyrics are the star of the show here, and it will be no surprise to see him continue on the upward trajectory which he is currently amidst.
