Everyone knows that the summer is hot, but you don’t know how hot it can get, at least not yet. Listening to Intelligent Diva’s latest release, entitled simply “Ice Cream”, I can honestly tell you it just got another couple degrees hotter in here. Perhaps my favorite aspect of this song is that it’s a tasteful sort of naughty, and allows you a glimpse into who Intelligent Diva truly is – both a lady and a naughty girl which, I’m sure you’ll all agree, is the best kind. If you haven’t guessed this yet, “Ice Cream” is a song filled with sexual innuendos and references, enticing, compelling, and just plain sexy.
The ice cream mentioned in the title is at first a point of reference to show how hot the singer feels contemplating a complete stranger (who wakens wild fantasies within her). As the song progresses, however, the ice cream transforms into something else… I’m sure I don’t have to tell you what, exactly, but let me just say, it gets quite suggestive. But in a classy way. At no point is the song vulgar, which makes it perfect for egging you on even more.
But then, that should come as no surprise from this wonderful artist, whose previous releases (hits such as “Boy Shorts”, “Sexy Walk” and “Submit to You” all come to mind, and if you find you like “Ice Cream”, we highly recommend checking those out as well) were all on the racy, exciting side. But Intelligent Diva, originally from Jacksonville Florida, has many sides.
She’s the sultry, sexy singer that we hear in many of these songs, but she is also a mother and a working girl. More importantly, she is an artist and a grown-ass woman who is tired of playing games and wants commitment, but also spice. And in a way, that’s exactly the message her songs tend to carry. In her own words, she makes music adults can relate to. Love songs with a more mature, but often also a sexier edge than the teenage romance tracks we’re all accustomed to.
“Ice Cream” is a perfect song for summer, but really, it works in any weather. As long as you’re someone who’s ever had thoughts like that about a complete stranger, trust me, you’ll see yourself in Intelligent Diva’s spicy, delectable new track.
