Rip lil mister 🕊(Wugaworld) he was killed on this day 3 years ago : r/Chiraqology

released the music video for his hit song “No Lackin” https://youtu.be/SgyNyRXPPnU

The song would be the starting point of a new era in his life. It went into viral status as one of the most rooted hip-hop tracks in Chicago that influenced the drill genre. Accumulating millions of views, Lil Mister was catapulted into the music industry’s spotlight

It was his chance to get out of the violent and gang-fueled environment he lived in. But before he could ever make the change to a new lifestyle, his life was sadly lost. Instead of using the momentum of the song to build a career away from a life in the streets, Lil Mister instead continued along that path.

He was affiliated with the WugaWorld and JojoWorld named after fallen affiliates Wuga

Lil Mister inherited many feuds with enemies from varying other sets inclusive of O Block, OTF, and 600, often getting into verbal and near physical confrontations with members like Memo600

From diss songs, to disrespecting each other online, the rivalry escalated as the years passed https://youtu.be/FXTaZA2vPdI (0:48-1:04) https://youtu.be/yeQjbEVWyHI (0:07-0:16) https://youtu.be/EeF6KuRjH5A (0:47-1:06)

Lil Mister was playing a dangerous game, because in these types of environments, the possibility of things escalating is highly likely given the deep-rooted hatred in the cycle of violence between each gang set. Lil Mister became famous off of his viral song and growing catalog, but he remained in the same violent-infested area and was always in the open for his rivals to see.

He would proudly always state where he was and where anyone could find him. His block, as the gangs would refer to their location, was 75th and Stewart https://youtu.be/vuTf8Usf22E (3:08-3:21) Maybe he felt untouchable, maybe he began believing the term of his song “No Lackin” meaning that he cannot be caught off guard by his rivals as he’s always armed for war.

Whatever the case, it appeared Lil Mister was being careless and underestimating, or rather forgetting how easily his life could be lost feuding between gang affiliations. This almost cost him his life several times because his rivals found him within that vicinity, most notably around a corner store he frequently hung out. Footage would capture another Chicago rapper by the name of Rico Recklezz

barging into the store where Lil Mister was inside and begin fighting https://youtu.be/K6KSbKsHGAc https://youtu.be/u9Psq0-68W4 Luckily that was the end of the altercation that time.

Another situation occurred where his rival Memo600, not only passed in a car recording him sitting on his bike on the street https://youtu.be/QJ1MNmW1B00 (0:06-0:15)

but also uploaded footage of them chasing him with the intention of doing him bodily harm https://youtu.be/QJ1MNmW1B00 (0:00-0:03) He would luckily evade capture, that time. His rivals knew where to find him and would often drive through his area looking for catch him outside https://youtu.be/98XJ-nlQyfU (0:19-0:35)

Lil Mister was no pushover himself. His name was connected to the bloodshed that occurred to his rivals and was known to also be on the hunt for his rivals, one whom he almost inflicted harm upon. Lil Mister and his entourage would locate Memo600 and chase him causing him to crash his vehicle and escape on foot. Lil Mister would take to the internet to poke fun at his rival, taunting him after their previous encounters https://youtu.be/7ZPcR6OZIJc (0:08-1:12) Memo600 would take to his account to confirm what had happened but said he was outnumbered 4 to 1 and when he tried to evade, he crashed so he was left with no other option but to escape on foot https://youtu.be/mnRwKWSFNOg (0:15-0:58)

It was all fun and games until the fun and games ended in bloodshed. Friday evening, March 15th 2019, reports state that 24-year-old Antwon T. Fields aka Lil Mister was walking about 7:15 p.m. in the 7400 block of South Harvard Avenue.

was filled with grief and anger addressing those who took the life of his cousin, Lil Mister https://youtu.be/_Oq24lueEok (0:00-0:29) The messed up thing about the lifestyle they lived, was that according to J Dub, Lil Durk was also his cousin. Families are forced to choose sides based on where they are rather than banding together as a family to build a legacy together https://youtu.be/_Oq24lueEok (1:45-2:04)

Lil Mister’s death left the place he lived his life representing in a state of hurt with thoughts of vengeance https://youtu.be/_Oq24lueEok (4:31-4:50) https://youtu.be/cfk0E0anfXI (4:31-4:44)

While those close to him were feeling the pain of his murder, rivals like Memo600 was gaining more and more speculation for being the one responsible for ending his life after posting a video listening to and singing along to Lil Mister’s cousin and rival Lil Durk. The comments were all filled with questions and statements on why he murdered Lil Mister https://youtu.be/Ctqrb1P3MHE (0:38-1:20) Memo600 only increased speculations that he was the one responsible for Lil Mister’s death, when he posted a video while riding in a vehicle with his friend known as JusBlow600

In the clip, Memo600 could be heard alluding to his affiliate JusBlow having a hand in taking the life of Lil Mister with the phrase “JusBlow wipe his nose” which in gang terms means to kill someone https://youtu.be/ww7bFCrr8ak (1:15-1:38)

Later in the video, persons were commenting on his involvement in Lil Mister’s murder, and his response was one of humor and disrespect saying “F Him,” “F their dead ass” https://youtu.be/ww7bFCrr8ak (1:52-2:05)

Chicago natives and Chicago bloggers chimed in on the homicide of Lil Mister and they all seem to collectively agree on what led to his demise. Lil Mister was too loyal to the block. He attained fame, but made the grave mistake of not leaving the violence of his environment to a safer and better area where he could focus on his music and thrive https://youtu.be/AHVAWuc9GEw (1:32-2:40) https://youtu.be/FtowDZ7B1Eg (7:33-7:55)

It’s a common cycle where the illusion of remaining true to the streets and staying among the violence gives you credibility as someone to respect. The reality is that it’s a trap that oftentimes leads to rappers with so much potential losing their lives in the same block which brainwashed them that leaving is something bad for their character. Lil Mister fell for the trap, and it cost him his life https://youtu.be/M0aoiP_EUFE (2:03-2:53)

Time would pass and an affiliate of King Von and Lil Durk named J Hood

J Hood 🏈(O'Block) : r/Chiraqology

revealed information that had the internet shocked. According to J Hood, King Von was the one responsible for Lil Mister’s death https://youtu.be/jN75sld5C60 (0:37-0:41) To date, no one has backed up that side of the allegations and there has never been an official arrest or report detailing the capture of any suspect in the homicide.

Lil Durk would later release a track titled “Letter to Lil Mister” where he broke down how he and his cousin came to be on opposing sides as rivals. According to the lyrics, it was due to betrayal. In the lifestyle they lived it was a rule to not expose information on crimes that were committed, but apparently Lil Mister wasn’t trustworthy enough in that aspect https://youtu.be/hhmNeWlwZuw (0:25-0:42)

FBG Duck, before he too was a victim of gun violence, released a song titled “Chicago Legends” where he paid respects to everyone that made Chicago what it is and held respect in their hearts. One of the names he mentioned was his friend Lil Mister,

paying homage to the rapper and lamenting on his murder https://youtu.be/AC-96dZ1n9k (2:20-2:39)

Lil Mister found a niche that could take him away from the bloodshed and violence. Music was his scapegoat to a better life. He had the spotlight and was about to sign big deals to propel him further https://youtu.be/vuTf8Usf22E (14:36-14:44)

He had a rough life, being known to the prison system through much of his adolescence

But his time behind bars taught him to value freedom and not become lost in the past life he was involved in https://youtu.be/vuTf8Usf22E (18:30-18:52)

His mind matured and he was ready to take over the world and show his worth to everyone looking at him to succeed with his talent in music. It’s sad he never made those changes a reality and held the future that was waiting for him. Rest in peace Lil Mister https://youtu.be/vuTf8Usf22E (14:52-15:10)
