Raised by a single mother, the Sri Lankan-born artist grew up influenced by the hip hop, old school R&B, and dancehall heard in Canada’s largest and most diverse cities – Toronto, Scarborough, and Montreal. Chasing the dream since he was 16-years old, over the years, SHAN has become a mainstay of Toronto’s hip hop community.
