Queens, New York is home to the 24-year-old artist Calvin Tan aka Calvin Ryan. At the onset of 2021, his musical career was elevated to a higher level upon working not only in the prestige, Penthouse Recording Studios, but also the iconic Jungle City Studios of legendary artist, Alicia Keys as a runner/intern. These experiences gained him priceless knowledge as an engineer and recording artist.
From there, he went on to record major artists like Rich The Kid, Icy Slug, Yung Fazo, and Lil Benny as well as assisting in sessions for others like Lil Uzi Vert, J. Balvin, Jack Harlow and Roddy Rich among others. In addition to his name gaining recognition as an engineer among musical celebrities, he also launched his career with the 2021 release of fire cuts, “Want You”, “Fabrics” and the trap/reggaeton song “Steez” featuring his cousin from Ecuador, Lucí. His bilingual music incorporating English and Spanish across genres like Hip-Hop, RnB, Pop, Reggaeton, and Dancehall, has gained him article features in both Music Xclusives and Viper Magazine.
Calvin Ryan has put in the work to take his career beyond just dreams, but reality.
