Drake is giving fans a taste of what’s next.
As anticipation builds for his long-awaited album, the Certified Lover Boy is teasing new music. Taking to Instagram in the early hours of Friday morning, Drizzy posted an 80-second clip of an unreleased song that appears to be called “Fair Trade.” Drizzy kicks back in the studio while previewing the introspective track.
“Feeling young, but they treat me like the OG,” he raps in the snippet. “And they want the tea on me / I swear these bitches nosy.”
He later delivers the hook: “I’ve been losing friends and finding peace / Honestly, that sound like a fair trade for me.”
Drake has yet to announce a release date for CLB, but it could be close. Back in March, he dropped a trio of tracks—“What’s Next,” “Wants and Needs,” and “Lemon Pepper Freestyle”—which debuted at Nos. 1, 2, and 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
On Sunday, the 6 God will be honored with the Artist of the Decade Award at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards.
