Cardi B is digging in the crates and sharing a never-before-heard version of “Bartier Cardi” featuring Playboi Carti.
The unreleased verse was supposed to appear on her 2017 single, but the Whole Lotta Red rapper turned his verse in too late to make Cardi B debut album Invasion of Privacy. In the end, the final song only featured 21 Savage.
“The only people I wanted was 21 savage & playboy carti,” Cardi B wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “I actually still have Carti verse safe but he turns his verse in late. This was a trap record so I only wanted trap artist.”
To prove that she was telling the truth, she shared a snippet of Playboi Carti’s lost verse. “We poppin’ these pills, Percocets / Thought it was molly … Who you know hotter than Carti?” he raps.
