The Toronto kingpin is sharing his list of the greatest MCs to touch the mic, and it may surprise you.
n response to an Instagram post from OVO Hush, Drake popped up in the comments to reveal his top 5, which includes greats like The Notorious B.I.G. and JAY-Z. Of course, the man who discovered him, Lil Wayne, made the list, along with OutKast legend André 3000. And Drake even threw in his OVO affiliate, Hush aka Young Tony.
“My top 5 is Biggie, Hov, Wayne, Young Tony, and 3000 since nobody asked,” he commented.
Drake remains in the top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Toosie Slide.” He also earned his 38th Hot 100 top 10 this week with “Pain 1993” featuring Playboi Carti, which enters at No. 7, tying Madonna for the most in the chart’s history. Additionally, all 14 tracks off his new project Dark Lane Demo Tapes have charted on the Hot 100.
Dark Lane Demo Tapes opened at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, with 223,000 equivalent album units, earning the third-largest streaming week of 2020. Drake now has 12 top 10 albums on the chart, the entirety of his charting releases.
