After almost a 7 year hiatus, the Air Jordan Retro 3 “Black Cement” is finally making its return this upcoming February. A shoe that is held to an extreme pedestal amongst its buyers, the “Black Cement” 3 features a recognizable feel as well as a timeless aesthetic. This new release calls back to the 2001 retro with its “Nike Air” branding on the heel, insole, outsole and hangtag.
First released in 1987, the Air Jordan 3 retailed for only $100, a much cheaper price tag than what is normally retail for now. Surprisingly, the Air Jordan 3 actually hit sales racks when it was first introduced to the public, some hitting prices of $25, and even with the 2001 releases, those were slapped with the original retail price of $100. The 2011 release of the “Black Cement” was raised $50 from the original price, coming in at $150.
Some of the 3’s most iconic features include the black leather, cement price on the front and back of the shoe, as well as the iconic Nike Air bubble in the heel, and the storied Air Jordan 3 outsole. Since this is one of the most iconic Air Jordans ever, don’t expect these to sit on shelves as much as previous Jordan releases have, as sneaker heads all over the globe will be looking to get their hands on this sought-after sneaker.
The 2018 Air Jordan Retro 3 “Black Cement” is set to release on February 17, 2018 for $200.00 USD at most Nike retailers. We’ll keep you posted as the release draws nearer.
