Travis Scott Detained in Paris Following Alleged Assault on Hotel Security Guard

Travis Scott was arrested in Paris on August 9, 2024, following an altercation with a security guard outside the luxury George V hotel.

According to the Paris prosecutor’s office, police were called to the scene after the security guard intervened in a dispute between Scott and his bodyguard. Reports indicate that Scott was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and refused to take a breathalyzer test when approached by authorities.

The rapper was in Paris to attend the 2024 Olympics and had watched the U.S. men’s basketball semi-final against Serbia the day prior.

This incident marks Scott’s second legal trouble in recent months; he was previously arrested in June in Miami for trespassing and disorderly intoxication after a disturbance on a yacht.

In a related note, Scott had a brief encounter with paparazzi in Paris, expressing his frustration and suggesting they find other activities to pursue instead of following him around.

His upcoming “UTOPIA: CIRCUS MAXIMUS TOUR” is set to begin its South America and Australia leg in September.
