Tory Lanez has some lofty goals that include T-Pain.
Taking to Twitter, the Playboy rapper announced that he wants to make $1 billion and sign T-Pain to his own label.
“My goal is to make a BILLION DOLLARS , HELP THE WORLD AND GO BACK AND SIGN T PAIN,” tweeted Tory.
But while Tory may have had good intentions, T-Pain was seemingly not flattered by the offer. “This bout the most light skinned thing I’ve read today and it ain’t even night time over here yet,” responded T-Pain, who is independently signed to his own Nappy Boy label.
Tory paid homage to T-Pain by sampling his 2005 hit “I’m Sprung” on 2019’s “Jerry Sprunger,” which also featured the Auto-Tune King.
“I didn’t think that I was gonna get T-Pain on it, but I wanted T-Pain on it,” Tory told Apple Music of their Chixtape 5 collaboration. “It was like a pipe dream of mine. I was in super fanboy mode.”
T-Pain recently dropped his own single “I Like Dat” with Kehlani off his upcoming album Precious Stones.
“The whole project is going to be my thoughts. There is no influence,” he told the Tallahassee Democrat. “I stopped listening to other people’s music for a while. When I recorded, I did it all alone. The whole project, Precious Stones, is going to be right out of my head. It’s definitely going to be one of those ‘This is what I’ve been trying to do’ projects.”
