Roddy Ricch is back in mixtape mode.
It’s been over a year since he released a project, but new music appears to be on the horizon. Taking to Instagram Stories on Tuesday (Feb. 9), the Grammy-winning rapper showed off his tattoo with the name of his mixtape, Feed Tha Streets, and wrote a “3” in the caption.
Fans immediately started speculating that he was working on a third installment in his acclaimed Feed Tha Streets series. Roddy also cleared out his Instagram account, a possible sign that new music is coming.
He dropped his first mixtape, Feed Tha Streets, in 2017. It was followed by the sequel, 2018’s Feed Tha Streets II. In 2019, he released his chart-topping debut album Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial.
Back in August, Roddy announced that he was working on the follow-up. “Album coming soon as f**k,” he told fans during an Instagram livestream.
In an interview with GQ, he opened up about the timeline for his sophomore album. “Could I drop a new album right now? Yes. Will I? No,” said Roddy. “It’s really not about it being ready or not ready. It’s more about the timing. I really just drop when I feel like it.”
Meanwhile, he’s still putting up numbers with his smash “The Box,” which was recently certified 7x platinum.
