Rick Ross Downplays Involvement in Vancouver Concert Brawl

Rick Ross was involved in a brawl at the Ignite Music Festival in Vancouver, Canada on June 30th, shortly after he performed Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us”.

According to Ross, when a “short, fat” man approached him, he told the man that if he hit him, he would see everything the man had eaten in the last two days. The man then backed down without saying another word. However, another man then said he knew MMA, and Ross claims he was hit with a drink, not punched, during the ensuing altercation.

Ross insists he was not actually punched, stating “I’m still convinced ain’t no n**ga punched me.” He believes throwing the drink was more disrespectful than the man claiming to know MMA.

The brawl went viral online, leading to comments from Ross’ baby’s mother, Tia Kemp, who said she was glad Ross got “smacked the s**t out [of].” Drake, who has an ongoing feud with Ross, also appeared to like a post about the incident on Instagram. Ross responded to the interaction between Kemp and Drake by writing “Pedo vs. granny.”

Despite the altercation, Ross expressed positivity about his experience in Vancouver, writing “Vancouver it was fun, till next time” on social media. The incident highlights the tensions and drama that can arise within the hip-hop community.
