Playboi Carti Drops New Single “ALL RED” on His 29th Birthday

Playboi Carti celebrated his 29th birthday on September 13 by releasing the highly anticipated single “ALL RED,” produced by his longtime collaborator F1LTHY. This track is expected to be part of his forthcoming album I AM MUSIC.

The song features a menacing chorus where Carti raps, “I put Vetements right on her thighs, I put the mask on ’cause I be fried/ All red, I stay with the Fives, all red, we pull up and fire/ All red, somebody died, all red, I pour up then drive.” In the sole verse, he references the football video game Madden, stating, “We done pushed up with them SIGs/ Just like Madden, you can get blitzed/ I used to rock Bally’s, then I got rich/ This is a thot, she can’t be my b**ch, yeah”.

“ALL RED” marks Carti’s first solo release since Whole Lotta Red in 2020, following several singles shared on social media. The upcoming album, I AM MUSIC, will be available in various box sets and a digital format, with merchandise including hoodies and caps. Items are expected to ship within six months from the album’s announcement date.

Fans have eagerly awaited this album, especially after the delays surrounding his “Antagonist Tour.” Carti’s manager, Erin Larsen, emphasized that the artist is committed to delivering his best work, which has contributed to the lengthy release process. She compared the anticipation for the album to waiting for a masterpiece to be unveiled in an art museum.
