NLE Choppa Reacts to Exclusion from Complex’s Top 20 Rappers List

NLE Choppa has stirred up conversation on social media after being excluded from Complex’s recently released list of the “20 Best Rappers in Their 20s,” published on September 12. While his omission from the list, which featured artists like Latto, Doja Cat, and Playboi Carti at the top, was not overly surprising, it did not sit well with him or his fans.

In a candid response, NLE Choppa expressed his frustration, stating, “Whoever did that Complex list I just wanna let you know something: your a** needs to do rock ‘n’ roll or some other sh*t.” He acknowledged his efforts to remain positive but felt the need to speak out against what he perceived as an oversight. He emphasized that he does not want to discredit those on the list but was disappointed that his recent work didn’t earn him a spot.

The rapper, known for his hit “Slut Me Out,” highlighted his significant accomplishments, including multiple platinum and gold certifications for his singles. He challenged the list’s criteria, questioning the expertise of those who compiled it and asserting, “Who been dominating this whole year? In the male atmosphere? Come on now. Don’t play with me, man.”

Additionally, NLE Choppa has been in the spotlight for his recent performances, including a notable appearance at Atlanta Pride, where he embraced the LGBTQ+ community. He addressed rumors regarding his sexuality, clarifying, “Never said I was gay,” while expressing his commitment to spreading love and acceptance.

As he prepares to release his upcoming project, ST SZN, on September 27, NLE Choppa continues to garner support from fellow artists and maintain a strong presence in the music scene, despite the controversy surrounding his exclusion from the Complex list.
