Nicki Minaj is getting ready to drop her highly anticipated album, Pink Friday 2, on November 17, 2023.
The rap superstar has already shared the first cover art for the project, which features her in a futuristic pink city with a crown on her head. Now, she has revealed another cover art for the album, which will be exclusive for the vinyl edition.
The second cover art, which Nicki Minaj posted on her Instagram on Saturday (October 7), shows her in a stunning pink gown with a plunging neckline and a high slit. She poses against a black backdrop with her long blonde hair flowing behind her. She captioned the post: “Album cover #2 of 2. Vinyl edition. Link in bio to pre-order now.”¹
The second cover art was created by photographer Charlotte Rutherford, who also shot Nicki Minaj’s artwork for her recent single “Last Time I Saw You”. The song, which Nicki Minaj called her “greatest song yet”, is a heartfelt tribute to her late father, Robert Maraj, who was killed in a hit-and-run accident in February 2023.
Pink Friday 2 is the sequel to Nicki Minaj’s debut album Pink Friday, which was released in 2010 and spawned hits like “Super Bass”, “Moment 4 Life”, and “Your Love”. The new album will feature collaborations with J. Cole, 21 Savage, Lil Yachty, Chief Keef, and more. Nicki Minaj has also released two other songs from the album: “Super Freaky Girl” and “Red Ruby Da Sleeze”.
Nicki Minaj has been teasing her fans with snippets and hints about the album on social media and TikTok. She has also introduced her new alter ego, Queen Sleeze, who is the main persona for Pink Friday 2. She has even got a new iced-out chain with the name Queen Sleeze on it.
Nicki Minaj’s fans are eagerly waiting for Pink Friday 2 to arrive, as it will be her first album in five years since Queen in 2018. The album is expected to be a huge success, as Nicki Minaj is one of the most influential and successful female rappers of all time.
