Kodak Black and Drake are cooking up.
While speaking with reporters at a press conference for the inaugural Kodak Black Day music festival in his hometown of Pompano Beach, the “Super Gremlin” rapper revealed that he and the 6 God have been in the studio working on music.
“Me and Drake we got some more music,” Kodak teased, according to iHeartRadio. “It’s really on whenever bruh might feel like he ready and stuff.”
It’s unclear how many songs they have recorded, but Kodak hinted that it could end up being an entire project. “They be like, ‘Is we gone drop the album? We gon’ do this?’ It’s really on him. We got a lot of songs though,” he said.
The two have shown love for each other in the past. “We do a lot behind the scenes talking and sh*t,” Kodak told “The Breakfast Club” in February.
Drake, who gifted Kodak with $250,000 in Bitcoin, has bestowed praise on Yak. “You really all that for this generation and the next one if we being honest,” he told him in January.
Before he and Drake drop their collab, Kodak is readying his own album Guns N’ Roses. “I’m finna drop that Guns N’ Roses next,” he said.
He also opened up about collaborating with Kendrick Lamar on Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers. “I appreciate that boy acknowledging me and all of that,” Kodak said. “And he a Gemini like me. I just know he’s a real one. He’s a real one and I appreciate him.”
