KARRAHBOOO has recently broken her silence following Lil Yachty’s controversial claims about her music career. During an Instagram Live session on September 13, she addressed the allegations that Yachty wrote all her lyrics and that she is no longer affiliated with his label, Concrete Boys.
In her live stream, KARRAHBOOO expressed frustration over how bloggers, particularly DJ Akademiks, have been covering her situation. She stated, “I’ve been working on a lot of music, by myself, no writer, Akademiks, with your big bored a**. You’re getting on my nerves cause all you do is yap all day and it’s never true.”
She further emphasized her independence as an artist, declaring, “Y’all really don’t know anything and you’re gonna feel stupid later. I don’t need a writer, I never did, and I never wanted to use one.” KARRAHBOOO highlighted her success with solo tracks, asserting, “When my top songs, with just me, my solo songs, it’s all me.”
Addressing Yachty directly, she stated, “If it’s not, put it on your kid,” and spoke about the challenges women face in the male-dominated music industry. She concluded by expressing eagerness to release new music, saying, “I really can’t wait to drop and show y’all my music… I can’t wait to drop, period.”
The situation escalated when Yachty claimed he had written all her songs, provided her style, and mentioned that she was $900,000 in debt to his label. He also expressed disappointment over their deteriorating relationship, citing that he had bought her jewelry.
Despite the turmoil, KARRAHBOOO has received support from various artists, including Veeze and Anycia, and is set to tour with Latto and Mariah The Scientist. Her fans remain excited for her upcoming projects, as she has yet to release a new solo record since the fallout with Yachty.
