Kanye West: Julia Fox Opens Up About Her Brief Romance with Ye and She Was Used Against Kim Kardashian

Jula Fox, the actress and author said she felt like Kanye West’s “little puppet” and that he “weaponized” her to get back at his ex-wife.

Julia Fox, the star of Uncut Gems and the author of the new memoir Down the Drain, has revealed some shocking details about her short-lived relationship with Kanye West, who now goes by Ye.

In a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, Fox said she felt like West was using her and their public romance to hurt his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, who was dating Pete Davidson at the time.

Fox said she met West at a New Year’s party in Miami at the end of 2021, and he asked her to be his girlfriend the next day. She said she declined, but they continued to see each other and he hired two of her friends to style her. The photos of them at a restaurant in New York City went viral, and Fox wrote a story about their first date for Interview Magazine. However, she claimed that West’s team mostly wrote the story for her, and she only provided a paragraph about how they met.

“I thought ultimately I’d be helping a precarious situation,” Fox told the Times. “But I learned very quickly that I was being weaponized. I just felt like his little puppet.” She said she understood West on a “visceral level” and thought their relationship “could be something real.” But she soon realized that he was still obsessed with Kardashian and wanted to make her jealous.

Fox also said that West was controlling and manipulative and that he tried to change her appearance and personality. She said he bought her expensive gifts, like Birkin bags, but also threw away her old clothes and belongings. She said he made her feel insecure and unworthy, and that he constantly compared her to Kardashian.

Fox said she broke up with West after a month, and that she has sworn off men since then. She said she has not had sex in two years, and that she is focusing on her son Valentino, whom she shares with her ex-husband Peter Artemiev. She also said that dating West has affected her career negatively, and that she has been blacklisted from some opportunities because of him.

Fox said she wrote about West in her memoir, but she went “lightly” on him. She also said she never signed a non-disclosure agreement with him, and that she is not afraid of speaking her truth. “I’m not signing a f**king NDA, just on principle. I never have, and I never will,” Fox said. “Unless it’s a professional opportunity, then sure.”

Fox’s memoir Down the Drain is out now, and it chronicles her life story from being a teenage runaway to becoming a Hollywood star. She said she hopes her book will inspire other women who have gone through similar struggles.
