Juice WRLD Estate Unveils ‘The Pre-Party’ EP with Young Thug Collaboration

On September 9, Juice WRLD’s estate released The Pre-Party, a maxi-single featuring two tracks: “World Tour (Aquafina)” and “Lightyears,” the latter of which includes a guest verse from Young Thug. This collaboration is notable as it marks the first joint release between Juice WRLD and Young Thug since their 2023 track “Money” from the album BUSINESS IS BUSINESS. The duo has previously worked together on songs like “ON GOD,” “Bad Boy,” and “Red Bentley.”

In the opening track, Juice WRLD makes several references to drugs, including Percocets and MDMA, alongside notable names in pop culture. His lyrics include lines such as, “She do the white like Justin Bieber / Bch, I be hot like a fever,” and “Yeah, fk yo’ b**ch, I’ma do my thang with her / She’ll do my clan, hell yeah, I got Wu-Tang with me.”

The title The Pre-Party suggests that this release is intended to tide fans over until the next posthumous album from Juice WRLD, which his co-manager, Lil Bibby, announced is currently in the works. Bibby expressed a desire for the upcoming album to be a celebration of Juice’s life rather than a period of mourning, emphasizing the importance of honoring Juice’s legacy alongside his dedicated fanbase.

In 2023, Juice WRLD’s estate also released a fifth-anniversary edition of his debut album Goodbye & Good Riddance, which included two previously leaked tracks, “No Good” and “Glo’d Up.” Juice WRLD tragically passed away in 2019 following a medical emergency at Midway International Airport, with his death attributed to an accidental overdose.
