Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are staying together.
A day after it was reported that they had split, the power couple has announced that they remain in a relationship.
“All the reports are inaccurate. We are working through some things,” they said in a joint statement to TMZ.
A source close to the pair told PEOPLE that Lopez, 51, and Rodriguez, 45, discussed a split, but “never officially broke up,” adding, “They hit a rough patch. But we’re not broken up.”
Last month, there were rumors that A-Rod had an affair with “Southern Charm” star Madison LeCroy. However, a source said that the scandal “had no bearing on the rough patch at all.”
“This was not caused by a third party. Madison [LeCroy] or anyone else. They are working through things,” said the insider.
Multiple sources reported on Friday that the couple had called off their two-year engagement. TMZ claims things were “bad” on Friday, but they are “still fighting to stay together.”
J.Lo has been in the Dominican Republic shooting a movie and A-Rod is in Miami. “It’s tough seeing each other especially with quarantining and COVID, but they want to try to stay together,” said the source.
The couple has been together for four years. In March 2019, Rodriguez proposed to Jennifer Lopez in the Bahamas. They had planned to get married last year but had to delay the wedding twice due to the pandemic.
