Ice Spice officially entered the Fortnite universe on November 14, 2024, as part of the game’s Chapter 2 Remix. The rapper, known for her hit “Popa,” joins a lineup of celebrities like Eminem and Snoop Dogg who have also become playable characters in the game.
Players can acquire two of Ice Spice’s signature outfits: one features a pink pants set with a matching fur coat, reminiscent of her look in “Fisherrr (Remix),” while the other includes a white tank top and denim shorts, as seen in her 2023 “Deli” video. Additionally, players can obtain a grappling hook called the Grapple and a Rifle, both themed around Ice Spice, until November 30.
In an interview with Billboard, Ice Spice expressed her excitement about fans being able to use her skins, stating, “I’m most excited to see how happy my fans are that they get to use my skins and just grateful to stand next to icons.” She also mentioned that she has younger siblings who play Fortnite, giving her some “big sister cool points.”
Although she is thrilled about her Fortnite debut, Ice Spice noted that she won’t be able to play until after her “Y2K! World Tour” concludes on November 15. The tour has taken her through several major cities across Europe and the U.K., with Bktherula as a supporting act.
Ahead of the Chapter 2 Remix launch, Ice Spice and Snoop Dogg performed at Times Square. She described the experience as “unreal” and expressed her enthusiasm for contributing to such an iconic game. Looking ahead, Juice WRLD is set to receive his own skin on November 21, coinciding with what would have been his 26th birthday.
