The video montage captured moments from post-labor with DDG to Halo peacefully sleeping on her chest. Halle expressed her emotions in the caption, stating, “My first Mother’s Day. The greatest love I’ve ever known.”
In the comments, Chlöe Bailey praised Halle, calling her an amazing mother and expressing joy for the love Halo brings. Other celebrities like Queen Naija, Reginae Carter, and JT also showed their support, with DDG describing Halle as “The best mom ever!”
To mark the occasion, the couple got tattoos of Halo’s name on their wrists, as seen in a 45-minute vlog on YouTube. DDG mentioned that they initially planned for small tattoos but ended up with something more significant. Halle, who got her first permanent tattoo, explained that she chose a visible spot on her arm due to its significance and resemblance to her father’s natural red birthmark.
Halle had announced the birth of their child in January, sharing a photo of Halo’s hand with a gold bracelet and expressing gratitude for his arrival. In March, she released “In Your Hands,” her first music offering of 2024, following the success of her Grammy-nominated track “Angel” from the previous year. These songs are expected to be part of her upcoming solo debut EP slated for release later this year.
