On Tuesday, August 13, it was announced that GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion will guest host an upcoming episode of Instagram’s “Close Friends Only,” set to air on Thursday, August 15. The episode will feature discussions about their friendship, Instagram explore pages, and even aliens.
In a preview shared on social media, Megan revealed that she and GloRilla were not yet in each other’s Close Friends. “I’m going to add you [to mine],” she said, to which GloRilla responded, “Do that, and I’m gonna add you to mine.” Megan playfully questioned, “’Cause, bch, why [am I] not in your Close Friends?” GloRilla retorted, “’Cause, bch, I’m not in yours.” Megan expressed disbelief, stating, “Oh, that’s so crazy. I let you watch me do crazy s**t all day, and I can’t know what you post on your Close Friends? That’s crazy.”
The conversation also included a moment where Megan asked GloRilla about her first impression of her, to which GloRilla replied that Megan seemed standoffish. Megan humorously challenged this notion, insisting GloRilla was not being truthful. Additionally, Megan shared that her explore page is filled with sharks, leading her to avoid the ocean, while GloRilla mentioned her obsession with Beyoncé, revealing that she has the superstar in her Close Friends.
Megan and GloRilla previously collaborated on the track “Wanna Be” from GloRilla’s project Ehhthang Ehhthang, and they have performed together at the 2024 BET Awards and during various stops on the “Hot Girl Summer Tour”.
