Fetty Wap is set to be released from jail on $500,000 bond as he awaits trial in his federal drug case.
The “My Way” rapper, born Willie Junior Maxwell II, was arrested on a drug trafficking conspiracy charge at Citi Field in New York City on Oct. 28, just before he was scheduled to hit the stage at Rolling Loud New York.
Federal prosecutors allege that Fetty, along with five others, distributed more than 100 kilograms of cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, and crack cocaine across New Jersey and Long Island. The feds claim the drugs were first obtained on the West Coast and were smuggled to the East Coast via USPS vehicles with secret compartments.
As per the conditions of his release, he will be required to wear a GPS monitoring device and submit to random drug testing. He must also surrender his passport and receive approval before traveling.
The indictment, which was filed on Sept. 29, charged Fetty with one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances.
During the investigation, the feds obtained $1.5 million in cash, 16 kilograms of cocaine, 2 kilograms of heroin, fentanyl pills, pistols, handguns, and a rifle.
Fetty and his co-defendants could face life in prison if convicted.
