Adonis may have a future in the NBA.
On Easter Sunday, a proud Drake shared footage of his son playing basketball. In the video, which was uploaded to Instagram Stories, the 3-year-old baller can be seen shooting hoops against a white wall at home. Adonis showed off his skills, sinking shot after shot in his socks.
“Two times,” he exclaims as a female voice, possibly his mother Sophie Brussaux, cheers him on in English and French. His dad’s No. 1 hit “What’s Next” can be heard playing off the speaker.
Adonis’ Papi was filled with pride, sharing the clips with his 78 million followers and adding a series of water droplet emojis.
Drake has kept Adonis’ life mostly off social media, but he did rap about fatherhood on his Rick Ross-assisted single “Lemon Pepper Freestyle.”
“Yeah, dropped him off at school, big day for my lil’ man / Recess hits, daddy prolly made another M / School bell rings and I’m out there to get him again,” he raps. “Yeah, teacher-parent meetings, wives get googly-eyed / Regardless of what their husbands do to provide / Askin’ if I know Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj.”
Drake was spotted in L.A. last week as he readies Certified Lover Boy. Last month, he provided an update on the long-awaited album.
“I’m just really excited about the music that we’re making and I feel like I’ve locked into a zone where I’m really trying to execute on a project that’s fulfilling for my soul,” he said on his new SiriusXM station SOUND 42. “I don’t have an exact date, but just know that it’s in a pot and it’s coming soon.”
