Beyoncé has shown some love to her fellow Houston native Megan Thee Stallion, who joined her on stage during her Renaissance World Tour.
The two superstars performed their hit song “Savage (Remix)” together for the first time in front of their hometown crowd.
Beyoncé, who is currently on her seventh solo tour, invited Megan to be a special guest at her two shows in Houston on September 23 and 24. The pair rocked matching camouflage outfits and delivered a fiery rendition of their Grammy-winning collaboration, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart last year.
The “Formation” singer took to Instagram on Thursday (October 5) to share some photos of their performance and express her gratitude to Megan. “My H-Town sister, thank you for gracing the RENAISSANCE TOUR. Until next time,” she wrote in the caption.
Megan, who is also having a successful year with her debut album Good News and her recent single “Thot Shit”, was overjoyed by the opportunity to share the stage with her idol. She posted a video on TikTok of her crying backstage and gushing over Beyoncé.
“Y’all don’t know how many times I have cried this weekend. Y’all don’t understand Beyoncé is my idol. Like I really genuinely love Beyoncé with my whole heart. I got on this camo because I would go to fucking war behind Beyoncé,” she said in the clip.
She also thanked Beyoncé on Instagram and called her “the woman of all the womens”. She added, “I have loved @beyonce MY WHOLE LIFE this means EVERYTHING TO ME!!! I love you thank you thank you thank you for everything.”
Beyoncé and Megan Thee Stallion have a strong bond that goes beyond music. They are both proud representatives of Houston, Texas and have shown their support for various causes in their city. Last year, they donated the proceeds from their “Savage (Remix)” to Bread of Life, a local organization that provides relief to people affected by COVID-19.
The Renaissance World Tour is Beyoncé’s first tour since 2018, when she co-headlined the On the Run II Tour with her husband, Jay-Z. The tour features songs from her acclaimed visual album Black Is King and some of her classic hits. The tour will conclude in Los Angeles on October 29.
