A$AP Rocky has unfortunately had to withdraw from the 2024 iHeartRadio Festival, which commenced on September 20 in Las Vegas, due to illness. The rapper announced his decision via an Instagram Story on September 19, expressing his regret: “Unfortunately, I ended up getting sick and I won’t be able to perform at the iHeartRadio Festival. I’m sorry to my fans and thankful to iHeartRadio for the opportunity! I was looking forward to performing some new music for y’all! Enjoy the show. The lineup is [fire]”.
Rocky was set to join a lineup that includes prominent artists such as Big Sean, Doja Cat, Victoria Monét, Shaboozey, Camila Cabello, The Weeknd, and Dua Lipa. Following his announcement, fans expressed disappointment over the lack of a replacement for his performance slot, with some questioning if they would receive refunds due to his absence.
In addition to his festival appearance, A$AP Rocky is gearing up for the release of his upcoming album titled Don’t Be Dumb, expected in the fall. Earlier this month, he teased fans with a new track featuring J. Cole called “Ruby Rosary,” produced by The Alchemist. The song references artists like Rosalía and Jodeci and includes lines that may allude to Drake.
