Yams Day will go on. A$AP Rocky has announced that the annual Yams Day celebration will return this year. In the wake of the pandemic, it will be hosted virtually on Monday, Jan. 18.
A$AP Rocky made the announcement in a teaser video, which finds him on the streets of New York interviewing random people (and dogs) about Yams Day. In the clip, they also tease their own version of the Grammys called the Yammys. “You better come to motherfu**in’ Yams Day,” says A$AP Ferg. “We gon’ kick ya motherfu**in’ ass.”

Meanwhile, A$AP Mob has been in the studio working on new music. Last week, the official A$AP Mob Twitter account shared a photo of the group with A$AP Yams’ mother, Tatianna Paulino, and announced that “something special” was on the way.
Yams Day has become an annual tradition following the death of the late A$AP Mob leader in 2015 and has featured performances from Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Tyler, the Creator, and more.
