Mr. Smith is a Hip-Hop 80’s baby and native of Akron, OH. Mr. Smith grew up listening to a variety of genres of artists and music that influenced his music such as Lonnie Liston Smith, Curtis Mayfield, Roy Ayers, Lauryn Hill, Nas, Little Brother, The Lox, Soulja Slim, J Dilla, E-40 and many more.
Mr. Smith started writing and recording music his senior year of high school with Ayo the Incredible and Ryo Ohio of Ink Vishun Entertainment.
After high school, Mr. Smith would freestyle with friends and record music periodically. After graduating from college in 2013, Mr. Smith started writing music to bring social awareness to issues most artists will not discuss such as child support.
Mr. Smith made his video debut when he shot a Project-Based Learning video titled I Don’t Care at Buchtel Community Learning Center where Mr. Smith discuss how students claim they do not care but in reality they truly care but lack the communication skills to express their frustrations at school.
Mr. Smith released his first debut album titled The $upport Ep produced by Lowkeysteve in June of 2018.
The singles he plans on releasing in January will consist of a J Dilla remake called Sick and I AM. Mr. Smith’s mission/vision as an artist is to educate, inform, and entertain.
