The entertainment industry is a network of multifaceted components, all working in unison to capture the interest of a widespread audience. While the public gets to enjoy the final results without question, the talent behind the scenes may not receive the recognition rightfully deserved.
Women like Rashida Watler continue to pull strings and broker deals for mainstream and independent artists alike. Before starting Super Femina Entertainment (a management company & branding agency), Rashida worked as a paralegal for entertainment attorney Tim Mandelbaum. Over the years, she has established and maintained a prosperous career in artist development and strategic marketing. Her hands-on approach ensures every client has the proper tools and knowledge at their disposal.
Rashida’s recent venture with OWN has her working alongside the creators of the TV show David Makes Man (2020 Peabody Award Winner). Spearheading the soundtrack/curated playlist, she’s in charge of selecting each featured artist and handling all legal contracts on their behalf through Super Femina Entertainment. She also secured Wutang’s own Raekwon the Chef (a client she manages) and helped with selecting the song which best aligned with the show. Partnering with Vevo for the extra publicity, it’s clear Rashida Watler is leaving no stone unturned.
