Thirdeye 3J hails from Rochester NY, the heart of western New York. 3j was raised up in the northeast part of the country until around age 9 until lost his grandmother to cancer and his cousin to street violence. 3rrd and his family moved to North Carolina, moving to and from various cities until they landed in Charlotte for his finishing years of middle school.
Upon returning to Rochester 3j finished high school in a city with some of the highest crime rates in the country that also bolstered the title of one of the worst graduating rates in the nation. Thirdeye pushed through his environment to reach college and it was there where he found a love for music. Although he was rated a 5 star football recruit by several colleges, including SUNY Brockport where 3j attended, the artist quickly fell into a fast paced life of illegal activity to cope with having little to no finances, the full-time schedule of an NCAA athlete and a realization that it was music and not medicine that was his calling.
Thirdeye 3J quickly taught himself how to write music, network with producers and engineer his own music. To this day 3J is managing his own Record Label start-up, MindsEye Enterprises. He still writes, raps and engineers all of his music and still plans on having a hand in production while his sound reaches more and more ears. Thirdeye 3J is a workhorse and because of that he is soon to be a household name.
