When he had nowhere else to go, the Persian rapper went the only place he could, up.
Born in Manhattan, raised in New Jersey, SajjadMusik was welcomed to an environment that had its fair share of negative influences. As he grew, so did his passion for music. SajjadMusik would find that he had a talent to create a Tahrir sound intrinsic to him. That Hybrid style of hip hop placed him in the prime position to manifest a successful career in the rap game. At the age of 15 he began penning songs, growing a fanbase that fell in love with the authenticity of his bars that show the struggle and triumph through his eyes.
Unfortunately, the voice of the streets was too loud for SajjadMusik to ignore, and his path diverted along a darker road in life. His actions in the streets would lead him into the hands of the law. SajjadMusik wouldn’t let that slow his momentum, ultimately gaining enough recognition in the industry to ink an album production deal with Sound Pollution Productions. At 17-years-old, he was on the come up, but his street affiliations continued to hinder his path ahead. SajjadMusik would be forced away from the music spotlight due to continued legal restrictions with the law.
His hard work crumbled before his face, but it also showed him his mistakes. In 2019, he had improved his vision and picked up his pen and mic once more. The energy in the booth was like therapy sessions his soul needed. SajjadMusik would hold new enthusiasm and on a trip to his Persian roots in the Middle East, he gained new perspective reconnecting with the musical ancestry of his family.
As 2020 approached, his EP, “Tyme to eat” was in the works and saw a release in July of that year. Fans were more than pleased with his return. SajjadMusik now aims to bridge the gap separating humans from understanding each other through his music, using the emotions of his experiences to relate his story to the masses. Check out his music catalog and follow him for more of his unique sound.
