Meet Ishell Vaughan, Cinematographer & Film Maker

Although Ishell Vaughan has found his true calling in life and achieved a huge amount, he refuses to take his foot off the gas. We hear all about how he got to where he is today.

Biggest Success

Being able to wake up each day and do what you love is a rare thing in life.

Unfortunately, most people across the world work jobs that they do not have any passion for.

But Ishell Vaughan is among those who have found their true calling in life.

The biggest success for Ishell is simply being able to wake up every day and do what he loves.

But despite having the freedom, as well as ability, to chase his dream, getting to this level in his career took a lot of hard work and discipline.

Without that, there would not even be any accolades. However, although he has already achieved a remarkable amount of success in his career to date, there is plenty more that he is aiming to achieve.

He refuses to stand still and is on a constant mission to continue improving and challenging himself.

Major Talent

Ishell is a professional film maker, cinematographer, and the founder and owner of Ishell Vaughan Films – which is a media and entertainment company operating and shooting production level drones for short films, commercials and stock footage.

Furthermore, the talented individual represents one third of the founding members of Secret Society Motion Pictures.

Back in the late 2000s, they could never have fathomed that this company would grow to what it is today.

They were just three guys scrambling to manage an unforeseen work load, while undoubtedly gaining major popularity in the tri-state and surrounding areas.

Today, Nimi Hendrix, Denity and Ishell not only shoot the majority of your favorite artists’ music videos, but they also run the most intuitive film internship program.

Crucial Advice

Meanwhile, there is also a piece of valuable advice that Ishell has for young entrepreneurs or anybody who wants to emerge in the industry.

The biggest advice he can give anybody is to “keep going” – no matter what is going on just keep going and do not stop for anything or anyone.

Furthermore, Ishell has no trouble remembering one of the most important moments in his life.

The day his life changed forever was the day he was booked for a job paying $5,000.

That was the first time he had that much money at one time – and that was the day he knew he was made for this.

This was also the happiest day in his life. It was not just about the money, but knowing that someone actually valued his work as much he did back then was major.

There was also a special award he received which lives long in the memory.

The most notable award he received was back in 2019 when he and Nimi Hendrix won the first place award for their short film “something in the water”. And with Ishell’s talent, there will most likely be many more awards to come in the future.
