Illin’ The Building, and he’s here to stay

Producers have been pushing the boundaries of sound as never before. Illin is one such creative shattering the ceiling and going even further beyond.

Born Parker Gosselin of Prairies in Canada, from Regina, Saskatchewan, the young musical mastermind has created quite the buzz and name for himself as a curator of all things musically great. As a kid his life would change upon moving to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada when his father got a new job position. From there, he got his first introduction into hip hop listening to legends like OutKast and Eminem, which lead to his fascination with how simple, yet complex Dr. Dre composed his beats. This sparked his passion for producing and that only manifested into something greater when he became heavily influenced by Kanye West and Travis Scott. Projects like MBDTF, Watch the Throne, Days Before Rodeo, and Rodeo inspired and shaped the way he produces. Through both influential artists, Illin would find a connection with works of Mike Dean, which made him knowledgeable of synths and applying that knowledge into his own craft.

Illin has since developed his own style. His music plays between the lines of Trap and experimental RnB, giving a modern yet fresh sound. His most treasured compositions hold a really dark theme, built upon grimy trap music that’s driven along with deep synths and haunting samples. This unique blend of sounds has brought Illin recognition as a producer in the game. YouTube producers he never thought he’d meet has become collaborators and he continues to increase his status as a dope creative. He has also linked up with his brother Austin Bo and one of their long-time artists, Bass Santana for a track that’s soon on the way.

Illin is currently promoting his latest release, a track titled “Lizzy” that brings together two lyrical Emcees over his beat. Nat J from the United Kingdom and Zaucy aka Lil Zaucy out of Florida makes magic over the rnb/trap mix. “Lizzy” flows over a smooth, mellow beat that captivates the ear with fire verses and catchy hook. It serves as the second single off Illin’s upcoming project “Ill’n Friends” which is scheduled for release later this year.

Don’t let the next best producer in the game slip under your radar. Illin is making moves and leaving his mark as one of the greatest. Be sure to check him out.
