On October 10, in recognition of World Mental Health Day, Megan Thee Stallion took a stand for today’s youth by partnering with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) for the Never a Bother campaign, aimed at preventing youth suicide. In an online video, she shared her personal mental health journey and urged others to seek support, stating, “If you need to ask for help, that’s just genuinely what you need to do,” while promoting resources like the 988 Lifeline and Teen Line.
Megan reflected on her struggles with discussing mental health, emphasizing the need for more Black and brown advocates in this space. “Now, I feel like I can relate to you and it makes my wall come down even more,” she explained. She underscored that asking for help is a sign of strength rather than weakness, saying, “Asking for help actually built my strength.” She concluded her message with a powerful affirmation: “Hotties, you are never a bother.”
In 2023, Megan encouraged people to “check in on our friends and family” as part of the Seize the Awkward campaign, collaborating with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. This initiative builds on her earlier project, Bad B**ches Have Bad Days Too.
On the music front, Megan released her album MEGAN in June and is expected to unveil another project before the end of 2024.
