With the release of his new album, “DEEP IN IT” this is sure to solidify his abilities as an artist and clear the path to success in his musical career.

Today we had an exclusive chance to interview the artist.

ARN: What is you legal name and age?
608Trayce: My legal name is Trayce Thayer. I am 28 years young.

ARN: Where are you from?
608Trayce: I am from Beloit, Wisconsin.

ARN: Where are you now?
608Trayce: currently live in the capital, Madison, Wisconsin. Between traveling and tours I’ve been here for most of the last 9 years.

ARN: Why did you first start making music?
608Trayce: I first started making music towards the end of high school. Back then, MySpace was the big thing so that’s where I got my start. I use to rap at peoples parties and beat on the lunch tables at school lol. All we had was a lil PC at the time and we learned that you could record yourself through a set of headphones if you plugged the end of it into the microphone jack on the computer. Our first recordings were so trash! Eventually I found an engineer that could get me the level of quality that I was looking for and from there it really took off for me. I became obsessed with recording and engineering myself.

ARN: Have you heard the theory that some musicians write their best music while they’re depressed or going through a bad time?
608Trayce: Haha, yes! And to be honest, I am probably one of those people. Music has always been an outlet for me. I say things in my raps that I would probably never talk about with anyone. It’s just my way of getting it out. I am very honest and raw in my music. Transmuting those tough experience into music is very therapeutic for me.

ARN: What is still your biggest challenge?
608Trayce: At this point, the biggest challenges for me are marketing and managing my time. I spend so much time producing, recording, mixing, mastering etc. that I have a very limited time to dedicate to my marketing efforts. I am also taking care of a couple children right now so managing my time wisely is very important for me to stay productive.

ARN: What’s your latest release?
608Trayce: My latest release is a collab with Brazen P. Its a super lyrical, super mainey trap project called “DEEP IN IT”. Its a ten track album produced on an old Korg SX-ESX1 drum machine. Shouts to Brazen P for coming through with that.

ARN: What surprising lessons have you learned along the way?
608Trayce: One of the biggest lessons I have learned is to not overthink shit. There was a couple years in my journey where I wasn’t releasing much music. It was mostly because I wanted to present myself in a certain way. I had this idea of how I wanted my come up to look like and all it really did was keep me from dropping music and, in turn, keep me from building fans the way I could have during those years had I just kept dropping the music I was holding onto. I am grateful for that experience though because I learned a lot.

ARN: What are you focusing your time on now?
608Trayce: Right now I am focusing on creating new music and learning how to market my music better. I still have a lot of music in the chamber so I am really trying to hone in on my marketing so I can start reaching much larger audiences.

ARN: What do you want your legacy to be? How do you want to be remembered?
608Trayce: My mission statement is simple. To inspire others. To be inspired is one of the greatest feelings in the world. I want to help give people that feeling by living my best life and following my heart the best way I know how. As long as I know I have inspired at least a million people, I feel content with my life on Earth.
